Okay now, I do like your colored pieces, but when you show something that's just inks like this, it really brings out the smooth lines and generous shapes that I really like in your artwork (may art terminology sucks, I apologize). I want to say that your lines are less fluid like water and more like drawn through cream... or hell, I've been on a meringue kick, so why not: like peaks in meringue. You can do depth in five smooth lines that most people would take several eons of penwork to mimic.

And they are very smooth. Creamy. I think that's a very distinct part of the way you draw people, at least. Seeing it uncolored just brings it out and lets me wax a bit wordy on it. Also, even without a whole lot of 'detail', you can make something look detailed without looking minimalist. It's not zen brushwork either, which has the element of spontaneity and luck when I look at it... it's very deliberately what it is.

I vote that you leave this up uncolored to show off a bit, but that's just me.

Anyway, well done!

oh wow- thank you!! *pinku* wow!! i never figured i'd deserve such a wonderful and thoughtful and kind comment! i'm always very nervous about my inks- i can always see the mistakes too clearly - every little bump and bit that didn't go where the pencils did, where it should have, and so i always feel very self-conscious about the inkwork. ^^; i really appreciate that you think it's that good! wow! i feel like i'm in shock from your battery of kind words! *mouth agape* thank you so so much! probably what i'll do is leave this one up as is, but if i do decide to color it, it'll be digitally, and i might upload that seperately, if i even ever get around to it. ^^; you very much made my night with that comment! thank you thank you!! *hugs* ORZ

I've been lurking... I was kind of worried I hadn't really commented on your work before. I tend to forget people can't always hear what's in my head... this was just ample opportunity to demonstrate what I think most of the time when I look at your works.

There may be mistakes, but to the viewer it doesn't really matter. I can't see them; I mean, as an artist, of course you're not going to be happy, especially with something people hype as much as linework. At the same time, it's apparent in all of your works that these things I've said apply, otherwise I probably would've wandered off by now.

As for making your night, ;) I could say all sorts of things, but it suffices to say that I'm happy that it pleases you. I'll try to comment more rather than lurk :)
